UPPER LAKE, Calif. – New Third District Supervisor Jim Steele will host his first community town hall in Upper Lake next week.
The town hall will take place beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 9480 Main St.
Among the topics is the proposed April closure of Westamerica Bank's Upper Lake branch, a concern which the community is responding to in the form of petitions and letters in an attempt to convince the bank to change its mind.
Other topics also include the traffic circle at the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 29, a project being carried out by Caltrans. A Caltrans representative is scheduled to be at the meeting.
Steele also will address the covered bike bridge project, Safe Route to Schools projects, sideways, the timeline for repaving Highway 20, trash in the creeks and volunteer projects.
Community members also may raise topics from the floor.
