Zeit: Rosenthal’s leadership works for us

The retirement of Jim Comstock provides an opportunity for the residents of District 1 to elect a more active and effective representative as our county supervisor, one who is responsive to the needs and desires of the community, not just the large land owners of the district who were behind Comstock’s election and are in support of Moke’s campaign.

Just look at the debacle going on regarding the Wild Diamond Vineyard project. Lawsuits would be unnecessary if the Board of Supervisors had done their job in the first place.

My vote goes to Monica Rosenthal. She is a farmer who understands the importance of supporting agricultural jobs and preserving our rural quality of life. The people of Lake County want open space, clean air and blue sky – not development sprawl. She is, by far, the most experienced and qualified candidate for this important position.

Monica is also a small business owner who knows what it’s like to sign a paycheck and balance a budget. As our representative on the County Workforce Investment Board, she’s worked to provide employment training resources for local residents.

Most of all, I’m impressed with Monica’s amazing work ethic. No one will work longer or harder for our communities on the County Board of Supervisors. That’s why she has earned endorsements from such diverse community organizations like the Lake County Association of Realtors, the Central Labor Council AFL-CIO and the Lake County Farm Bureau.

On Nov. 8, let’s elect a workhorse who will represent all of District 1 by voting for Monica Rosenthal for county supervisor
