CLEARLAKE, Calif. – When it meets this week the Clearlake City Council will discuss approval of the city’s new general plan.
The council will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in the council chambers at Clearlake City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive.
The main item on the Thursday agenda is the proposed adoption of a resolution to certify the 2040 General Plan’s final environmental impact report, and adopting environmental findings, a statement of overriding considerations, a mitigation monitoring program and the adoption of the general plan itself.
The new general plan has been in the works for several years.
On the meeting's consent agenda – items considered noncontroversial and usually accepted as a slate on one vote – are warrant registers; minutes of the council meetings on Jan. 26 and Feb. 9; minutes of the Jan. 11 Lake County Vector control District Board meeting; approval of a letter encouraging a Konocti Education Center student project; and the award of a contract, not to exceed $130,710, with Greene Valley Consulting Engineers for construction management services for the Phillips and 18th Avenues Class II Bicycle Lanes and Roadway Construction project.
