KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – As the investigation into a deadly Kelseyville shooting that took place last Friday continues, Lake County Sheriff’s Office released a new surveillance image of the suspect.
The suspect is wanted in connection to a late night robbery and shooting at Mt. Konocti Gas and Mart on Main Street, during which 33-year-old Forrest Seagrave, a store employee, was mortally wounded, dying a short time later.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the store that night at 10:45 p.m. on the report of the robbery and shooting, as Lake County News has reported.
Lt. Steve Brooks said the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating all leads, and the agency appreciates all information that has been received by the public.
The photo released Tuesday was taken from the surveillance equipment at the store, said Brooks.
Over the weekend officials had released a clip of surveillance video, which can be seen below, showing the suspect walking alongside the store on Douglas Road before circling back to go inside.
The suspect was described as a male, approximately 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a thin build.
Officials said the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and gloves. He also was wearing some type of mask covering his face.
He was reported to have taken a small amount of cash before fleeing the store the store on foot, according to reports from the scene.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect.
There is currently a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.
