LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Lake County Public Service’s Director, Caroline Chavez, announced holiday closures and special hours for two county museums later this month.

Chavez said the Historic Courthouse Museum in Lakeport will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving Day holiday.

The museum will reopen Friday, Nov. 28, with special holiday hours of noon to 4 p.m.

The Schoolhouse Museum in Lower Lake will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, for the Thanksgiving Day holiday and will reopen Saturday, Nov. 29.

Normal operating hours at the Courthouse Museum are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and closed on Sunday.

The Schoolhouse Museum in Lower Lake is normally opened 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and closed on Sunday.
