LAKEPORT, Calif. – First District Board of Equalization Member Betty Yee and Eighth District Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada were the special guests at the Democratic Club's fourth annual Summer Harvest Celebration at the Lakeport Yacht Club.

The legislators joined more than 75 attendees at the event, which took place on Sunday, Aug. 21.

Assemblyman Wes Chesbro's district representative Ruth Valenzuela and Sen. Noreen Evans' district representative Jeff Tyrrell addressed the guests about the legislators' activities and outlook.

Yamada has announced her candidacy for the newly drawn Fourth Assembly District, which includes all of Lake County.

Yamada serves as chairwoman for the Assembly Aging and Long-Term Care Committee. In January, Speaker John Perez named her chairwoman of the new Assembly Select Committee on Sustainable and Organic Agriculture.
