LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lake County Farm Bureau is proud to announce and welcome Allison Tucker as the new Lake County Farm Bureau executive director.

Tucker has recently relocated to Lake County from the small town of Ono, located near Redding in Shasta County, where she was highly involved in 4-H, FFA, the Grange and other rural regional activities.

“This is an incredible opportunity,” Tucker said. “I am extremely thrilled to be a part of the Lake County Farm Bureau family, and look forward to working with all of you.”

Tucker is a recent graduate from Arizona State University with a bachelor of science in global agribusiness.

While in Arizona, she held several leadership positions for nonprofit student-run organizations and served as an assistant coach to the Arizona State FFA Champion Advanced Parliamentary Procedure Team.

That team will compete in National Finals at the 87th Annual National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky this October.

“Allison’s impressive resume coupled with her enthusiastic spark for 4-H, FFA, Ag in the Classroom, Young Farmers and Ranchers and other farming programs makes her the perfect fit for Lake County Farm Bureau,” says Dave Rosenthal, Lake County Farm Bureau incoming president. “When we talk about the future of agriculture and farming, Allison is it. She has an immense passion for agriculture and the ability to lead Lake County farming into an innovative and energetic future.”

For the past two years, Lake County Farm Bureau has been fortunate to work with Claudia Street as the organization’s executive director.

Street continues her career with Farm Bureau; she now serves as the executive director for the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau office.

Street succeeded Chuck March, who had been with the organization for more than 13 years.

Lake County Farm Bureau is a nongovernmental, nonprofit, voluntary membership California corporation whose purpose is to protect and promote agricultural interests throughout Lake County and to find solutions to the challenges of the farm, the farm home and the rural community.
