LAKEPORT, Calif. – The University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) invites growers and others involved in the North Coast walnut industry to attend the 2015 Lake County Walnut Update to be held Wednesday, April 8.
The update will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Scotts Valley Women’s Club, 2298 Hendricks Road, Lakeport. The facility is wheelchair accessible.
Topics will include an overview of the 2014 Lake County walnut season and outlook for 2015, a laws and regulations update from the Lake County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office, an update on surface and groundwater supplies, irrigation and canopy management, walnut twig beetle and 1,000 cankers disease management and a presentation by the California Walnut Board.
The meeting is sponsored by UCCE and the California Walnut Board.
There is no registration fee; morning refreshments will be provided courtesy of the California Walnut Board.
