LAKEPORT, Calif. – This week the Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee will get updates on the city’s flooding conditions, and discuss a city economic development strategic plan and a hotel feasibility study.
The committee, or LEDAC, will meet from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.
The meeting is open to the public.
On the agenda are items including an update on the flood conditions and impacts, as well as ongoing projects such as the lakefront revitalization plan and upgrades to the city’s Carnegie Library, the Measure Z sales tax and other projects.
LEDAC members also will discuss a hotel development feasibility study, which is due to go before the Lakeport City Council on Tuesday night for the hiring of a consultant to conduct the work.
Also on the agenda is a draft of the Lakeport Economic Development Strategic Plan, which members will review.
LEDAC advocates for a strong and positive Lakeport business community and acts as a conduit between the city and the community for communicating the goals, activities and progress of Lakeport’s economic and business programs.
The membership includes Shock, Vice Chair Christine Hutt, Secretary Terre Logsdon and members Denise Combs, Bill Eaton, George Feola, Melissa Fulton, Pam Harpster, George Linn, Taira St. John and Panette Talia. Lakeport Community Development Director Kevin Ingram and City Manager Margaret Silveira serve as ex-officio committee members.
