NICE, Calif. – The public is invited meet E.J. Crandell, candidate for District 3’s supervisorial seat in the June 5 primary.
The event is on Saturday, April 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the conference facility at the Robinson Rancheria Casino and Resort, 1545 Highway 20 in Nice. Complimentary beverages and snacks will be served.
“It’s important to get as much input as possible from the people of District 3,” said Crandell. “Your ideas for improving our quality of life as well as any concerns you may have will help shape my planning and inform my own ideas for priorities as I move forward in the campaign.”
At the kickoff event, Crandell looks forward to hearing what District 3 residents have to say. He explained that as a leader and manager of more than 350 employees he’s learned that the cornerstone of decision-making lies in a process of input.
“All voices should be heard and no effort is too small. That’s the way I do business and the way I am approaching the election process,” he said.
Crandell is currently chairman of the Lake County Planning Commission, chairman of the Business Council of the Robinson Band of Pomo Indians and executive chairman of CTTP, an agency providing temporary assistance to low-income individuals and families at 16 different California sites.
In 2006 Crandell was honorably discharged after serving his country in the U.S. Army for eight years. He was deployed to Qayyarah West, Iraq, in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the Screaming Eagles of the 101 Aviation Airborne Division.
After serving his country, he went on to earn an associate's degree in business administration and is currently a few units short of achieving a bachelor’s degree.
Crandell has ancestral ties to Lake County. He grew up in Lucerne and Upper Lake, graduating from Upper Lake High, where he went on to coach baseball.
“My roots in District 3 run very deep and my commitment to serve our communities couldn’t be stronger,” he said.
