Caltrans plans major roadwork through June 14

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

Shoulder work near Foothill Drive will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 29

– Roadwork at Cruickshank Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect in both directions from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. overnight weeknights. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Mathews Road to occur on Tuesday, June 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Emergency work 1 mile south of Navarro Bluff Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Happy Lane to begin on Monday, June 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work near Soldier Point Viaduct will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours day. Motorists should minor traffic slowdowns.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Hardy Creek to begin on Monday, June 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work at Russian River Bridge will begin. One-way traffic control will be in effect in both directions 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping work from Robinson Creek to Route 222 will occur on Thursday, June 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping work from South Ukiah Overhead to Ackerman Creek Bridge will occur on Wednesday, June 13. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Striping work from South Ukiah Overhead to North State Street Undercrossing will occur on Friday, June 15. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Pavement work near the Route 222 junction will continue. The southbound offramp will be fully closed. Motorists should find an alternate route.

– Striping work from Presswood Overhead Bridge to Ridgewood Ranch Road will begin on Friday, June 8. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Striping work from Pomo Undercrossing to Ridgewood Ranch Road will occur on Tuesday, June 12. Lane closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorist should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Drainage work north of Uva Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Construction work from Quail MD Overhead Bridge to Upp Creek Bridge will occur on Thursday, June 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Construction work at Sherwood Road Intersection will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Enchanted Forest has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for a special event to begin on Friday, June 8. Lane restrictions will in in effect 24 hours a day through Monday, June 11. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work 1-mile South of Rattlesnake Summit to Bell Springs Road will begin on Monday, June 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Rattlesnake Creek Bridge to Empire Camp Rest Area will end on Friday, June 8. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Drainage work at Rattlesnake Creek Bridge will occur on Monday, June 11, and Tuesday, June 12. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Construction at Jitney Gulch Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Bell Glenn Resort to the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work north of Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Road 150 on Friday, June 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Hibbard Road to Big Oaks Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work east of the entrance to Motorcycle Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 222

– City of Ukiah has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Hastings Frontage Road to occur on Friday, June 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 271

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at South Fork of the Eel River Bridge to occur on Thursday, June 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
