Caltrans plans major roadwork through Jan. 16

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Guardrail work west of Orchard Shores to west of Walker Ridge Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays. LC#C20HA

Highway 29

– Tree work from Spruce Grove Road to south of Highway 53, North Lower Lake will begin Monday, Jan. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for pavement work at Highway 53 and Morgan Valley Road on Friday, Jan. 10, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– AT&T has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work at Highway 53 and Morgan Valley Road on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Utility work from Bottle Rock Road to Route 175 Southeast will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Tree work from Arroyo Vista Road to Socrates Mine Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Pacific Gas and Electric has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work from one-mile south of Little River Airport Road to Little River Airport Road on Friday, Jan. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Tree work near Road 200A will begin Monday, January 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Slide removal from Anderson Creek Bridge to Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
