LAKEPORT, Calif. – A weekend sale at Poppy’s Nursery in Lakeport will benefit the Lake County Children's Council.

The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

The weather is cooling down this weekend, making it a perfect time to take part in "Poppy's for Prevention.”

Offerings include vegetables and herbs, flowers, fruit trees, ornamentals and much more.

All proceeds from everything sold at the nursery that day will be donated to the Children's Council, which works to prevent child abuse in Lake County.

Poppy's Nursery is located at 2845 Reeves Lane in Lakeport.
