HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The Hidden Valley Lake Men's Niners Golf Club held a Medal Play Competition on Aug. 2.

The results were:

• First flight – Dennis Bero was first with net 32. Stan Kalata, Freg Figg and Bob Brossier tied for second one stroke back with 33.
• Second flight – Mike Casolo posted the lowest net of the day, 30. Phil Tyler was second, 32 and Tim Greer, third, 33.
• Third flight – Mike Riley, Hal Weber, and Ed Carver tied for top honors at 34.  

Closest to the par 3 pins were Dave Mann and Mike Casolo.  

Chip-ins were cheap. Nine different men scored a chip-in.

Fifty-seven men participated in this event.
