CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Southshore Little League will host the District 2 Senior Baseball All-Star Tournament at Redbud Ballfields in Clearlake on Friday, June 21, and Saturday, June 22.
The senior division is boys and girls ages 13 to 16.
There are two leagues competing: Middletown-Cobb and Southshore.
This is the first time in a long time – maybe ever – in the 60-year history of Southshore Little League that it has hosted an all-star tournament. Both teams are excited to be playing locally.
The first game is Friday, June 21, starting at 5:30 p.m.
It is a double-elimination tournament so the next game will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 22. If a third game is necessary, it will start at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Please come and support both leagues. You'll see lots of community pride on display – right along with good baseball and outstanding sportsmanship.
The Southshore Snack Shack will be open for all to enjoy – breakfast sandwiches, super nachos, of, course hot dogs, burgers and tri-tip sandwiches. There will be plenty of water, soda, teas and Powerade. Oh and then there's candy, too. Please do not bring food or drinks to the games (they are not allowed at tournaments).
Support Southshore's fundraising efforts. They are working on field lights and the tournament is the league’s "Light the Night" fundraiser.
Come down to the ballfields and enjoy a little home-grown baseball. Support these young people. Bring your community pride with you.
