LAKEPORT, Calif. – Prof. Tom Meyer, who has lived in the Middle East for 1,000 days, is stopping in Lakeport on part of his speaking tour on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Meyer will speak at Clear Lake Baptist Church, 555 N. Forbes St., beginning at 6 p.m.

Meyer – who teaches at Shasta Bible College in Redding, has sailed the Nile River, ridden camels through Jordan and walked the whole Holy Land – will be presenting a multimedia lecture on the archaeology of the Bible.

He's an author and speaker on the subject who has lived with the tent-dwelling Bedouins in the deserts of Jordan and become friendly with the ancient Samaritans to gain more insight into the world of the Bible.

Meyer is sure to hold the attention of both old and young alike as he presents compelling archaeological evidence from the most famous book in the world.
