NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Clearlake City Clerk’s office will be open on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for candidate filing only.  The following offices are available for candidate filing:  

• Two Members of the City Council-full term of four years;
• City Clerk – full term of four years;
• City Treasurer – full term of four years.

Candidate packets will be available in the City Clerk’s Office, 14050 Olympic Drive Clearlake, Calif.  

Candidates are encouraged to call the City Clerk’s Office at 707-994-8201x106 to schedule an appointment time convenient to the Candidate’s schedule as the packet disbursal process will take approximately one hour.  

The filing period continues to Friday, August 8, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. as stated.  

Should one or more incumbent Council Member(s) not file for re-election, the filing period is extended to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 for non-incumbents.  If no one or only one person is nominated for each elective office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by Section 10229, Elections Code of the State of California.
