California Connections Academy @ North Bay welcomes site administrator to lead new public K-12 virtual school

MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – California Connections Academy @ North Bay announced Leslie Dombek will be the new online public school’s first site administrator.

The seasoned educator will join the California Connections Academy @ North Bay staff, serving students in grades K-12 who reside in Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Sonoma and Yolo counties.

Dombek brings to the school more than nine years of education experience. She previously served as an elementary school master teacher at Capistrano Connections Academy, where she taught the Program for All Children to Excel (PACE) math and Language Arts remediation program for third through fifth graders.

She also led the Gifted and Talented program for the highest-achieving students in third through fifth grades in language arts, science and math.

As the site administrator of California Connections Academy @ North Bay, Dombek will oversee the school’s state-credentialed teachers, administrators and counselors, and contribute to the success of the school’s inaugural class of students this fall.

“Having been a teacher with Connections Academy for nine years, I’ve had an opportunity to experience how students succeed in the virtual school environment due to the flexibility to work one-on-one with their teachers at their own pace,” said Dombek. “I look forward to working with the teachers and staff in the North Bay to provide yet another school choice option for families in California.”

California Connections Academy @ North Bay is a tuition-free, high-quality, highly accountable online public charter school.
