LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lakeport Library is presenting a series of classes on “hand sewing for beginners” each Wednesday in October at 5:30 p.m.
All supplies will be provided for the free hour-long classes. Registration is required.
Each lesson will be a step toward creating a custom-made bookmark.
On Oct. 1 Barbara Green will teach hemming and on Oct. 15 she will teach sewing on buttons.
On October 8 Amy Patton will teach embroidery and on Oct. 22 she will teach how to make buttonholes.
On Oct. 29 Patton and Green will collaborate on teaching a craft project.
Lakeport Library, located at 1425 N. High St., is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The phone number is 707-263-8817.
