LAKEPORT, Calif. – Nonprofit leaders from Lake and Mendocino counties are invited to register for a one-day workshop at the Mendocino College Lake Center.
The session will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Nonprofit Organization 101” will be led by Terry Fries, a member of the Mendocino College faculty, a Lake County resident and a consultant to more than 80 not-for-profit organizations and professional associations that have raised more than $200 million dollars with his coaching.
The group will discuss the key responsibilities of volunteer board members, how to move from over-dependence on government grants, and how to embrace the growing opportunities for consolidation with other organizations to reduce cost and increase program strength.
Topics also will include key areas in governance and fund raising for nonprofit organizations.
This is an affordable and rare opportunity to bring your employees and board members together to discuss new initiatives for your nonprofit.
Cost is $30 per person for the one session. Please contact Patti Gulyas at 707-468-3236 for more information.
Mendocino College Lake Center is located at 2565 Parallel Drive, Lakeport.
