LAKEPORT, Calif. – For the second year in a row, Lake County residents who qualify based upon financial need have the opportunity to receive a free City Fitness gym membership, thanks Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
The hospital is offering 10 individual City Fitness gym memberships to those in need. City Fitness will donate five more 2015 gym memberships.
Applications are available at Sutter Lakeside Hospital Rehabilitation Services located at 5196 Hill Road East in Lakeport and at City Fitness on 871 Bevins Street in Lakeport.
“Every New Year, we hear how difficult it can be to maintain an affordable fitness program,” said Sara K. McClean, City Fitness co-owner. “Sutter Lakeside Hospital’s gym membership donation coupled with our donations mean that 15 local residents, who may otherwise be unable to afford a gym membership, will be working out with us throughout 2015. We’re excited to be a part of this opportunity.”
“Wellness care, like exercise, can dramatically enhance health care outcomes. Sutter Lakeside Hospital wants to continue collaborating with our community partners to offer Lake County residents the opportunity to improve their health. We are pleased that City Fitness wants to continue our partnership for a second year in a row,” adds Sutter Lakeside Hospital Chief Administrative Officer Siri Nelson.
The application deadline for completed scholarships is Monday, Dec. 22.
Award recipients will be notified by Dec. 31.
