Former Yuba College vice president accepts position at Feather River College

Former Yuba College Vice President for Academic and Student Services Dr. Kevin Trutna was appointed president/superintendent by the Feather River College Governing Board.

The decision was announced Feb. 6.

Dr. Trutna assumed the position of interim president at Feather River College on Aug. 6, 2012.

Dr. Trutna served Yuba College’s vice president beginning in 2006, subsequent to holding the position of the Dean of Math, Engineering, Science and Health Occupations.

He earned his Ed.D. in Adult and Higher Education from Montana State University, Bozeman, Mont.

Chancellor Douglas Houston congratulated Trutna on this appointment, and said, “This will be a great move for Kevin who has been very professional in working with the trustees, faculty, and staff at Feather River College to ensure their college continues successfully serving students.”

Lisa Jensen-Martin has been serving as the Yuba College interim vice president of Academic and Student Services in Trutna’s absence.

The Yuba Community College District spans eight counties and nearly 4,200 square miles of territory in rural, north-central California. It has colleges in Marysville and Woodland, along with educational centers and outreach operations at Beale Air Force Base, Clearlake, Yuba City, and in Williams.
