How to add a business listing

To add a business listing you must first be a registered user. Once you have registered and confirmed your registration via the automatic email response you receive from the site you can add business listings.

On the marketplace page you will see an 'add listing' item in the left most column beneath the heading 'directory categories' once you click on that you will be presented with a place to put in your listing. Your listing can use HTML and link to external images if you desire.

Why register?

Registration is free and it gives you access to greater features of the site like placing business listings, classified ads, making comments and posting in the forums. The reason we require registration for these areas is because sometimes people feel like they can abuse others if they are anonymous. We don't like cowards so we encourage you to say what you like and take credit for it. 

To register you must provide a valid email address so we can confirm your registration. If we can't confirm your email address we won't process your registration and if you should abuse the site or your neighbors in the county  we'll block your IP. Simple as that. 

If your IP gets blocked and you don't understand why you can send an email to editor@lakeconews.com to request a review. Depending on the reason you were blocked we may decide to permit your continued access..
