The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild will meet on Saturday, Feb. 3, in the Scotts Valley Women’s Clubhouse at 2298 Hendricks Road, Lakeport.The doors open at 9 a.m. and the meeting begins at 10 a.m.Come early to browse the quilt library, sign up for special events, and socialize.
Cathryn Zeleny of Napa will present a lecture and trunk show called “How to Turn on Your Light Bulb." She has been making art quilts since 1999, an interest that grew out of her life-long involvement in textile arts.Her work has appeared in a number of prestigious quilt events and galleries and has been published in Quilters’ Newsletter Magazine and the books Tumbling Blocks and Feathered Star.
LLQG welcomes all quilters and prospective quilters to its meetings and events.Through a variety of programs and projects, the quilt guild members learn new skills and techniques, benefit the Lake County community, and enjoy themselves immensely.
