Supervisor Denise Rushing will be discussing Lake County compliance with the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006. Assembly Bill 32 was signed into law in September of 2006. The Act set up the first enforceable state-wide program in the U.S. to cap all greenhouse gas emissions from major industries.
The club will also host local representatives from both Democratic presidential campaigns in order to provide information to members who wish to get involved.
The club meets on Saturday April 12 at noon at the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center in Lucerne. The Senior Center is located at 3985 Country Club Drive in Lucerne.
The Senior Center serves breakfast from 9am until noon.
The public is invited. Membership in the Lake County Democratic Club is open to registered members of the Democratic Party.
