UKIAH - The Mendocino College Foundation board of directors recently elected officers and committee chairs and scheduled its 2007 quarterly meetings.
Officers for the Foundation are Wilda Shock, Lakeport, president; Tom Herman, Willits, vice president; and Kathryn G. Lehner, Ukiah, secretary/treasurer (Mendocino College Superintendent/President).
Executive Committee members include Wilda Shock, marketing committee; Tom Herman, land committee; Kathryn Lehner, secretary; and Jim Angell, Willits, finance; Rhonada Clausen, Ukiah, special events; and Channing Cornell, Ukiah, scholarships.
Members of the board of directors include Kristi Barrington, John Behnke, Donna Berry, Harry Bistrin, John Bogner, Peggy Campbell-DeBolt, Leroy Chase, Jack Daniels, Tod Kong, Neelam Salmen, Toni Scully, Gary D. Smith, and Tommy Thornhill.
The Foundation board meetings begin at noon and are open to the public. Meetings dates and locations for 2007: March 6, Board Room 1060, MacMillan Hall, Ukiah campus, 1000 Hensley Creek Road; June 5, Lake Center, 1005 Parallel Drive, Lakeport; Sept. 11, Ukiah campus; and December 4, Ukiah campus.
The Mendocino College Foundation, Inc., is a nonprofit, public benefit corporation comprised of a dedicated team of volunteer community, education and business leaders who live and work in the Mendocino-Lake Community College District.
The Foundation is committed to supporting Mendocino College¹s pursuit of excellence in education and services. It channels private funds to provide student scholarships, enrich instruction and basic skills, enhance program and staff development, and strengthen student services. In addition, the Foundation seeks to promote and develop a mutually beneficial relationship between the college and the business community of the district.
