Political singer-songwriter Roy Zimmerman will perform at a benefit concert for KPFZ FM 88.1 in June.
The radio station will host the benefit concert at 8 p.m. June 21 at the Saw Shop Bistro on Main Street in downtown Kelseyville.
Headlining the show will be Zimmerman, who has played clubs across the country, and shared the stage with George Carlin, Bill Maher, Kate Clinton, Dennis Miller, Sandra Tsing Loh, kd lang, Andy Borowitz and Paul Krassner.
His up-to-the-moment topical songs are featured on American Public Media's syndicated broadcast "Weekend America" and Sirius Radio's "West Coast Live."
Opening for Zimmerman is local songwriter Vic Star who has performed all over Lake County and is well known for his powerful lyrics.
Advance tickets are only $20 and most of the proceeds will benefit Lake County Community Radio Station KPFZ.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 24, at Watershed Books, 350 Main St. in Lakeport and at Java Express Coffee Shop, 14624 Lakeshore Drive in Clearlake.
Only 100 seats are available and the show is expected to sell out quickly.
