Plans are under way for All About Me Boutique’s inaugural New York-style runway fashion show, to be held Saturday, July 19 at the Soper Reese Theater in Lakeport.
This year’s show, the first of its kind, is titled “From New York to Lakeport.”
The event will start with complimentary champagne and hors d'oeuvres at 6:30 p.m., and the show will follow at 8 p.m. A bar will be available, and a special treat will be served following the main show.
From New York to Lakeport will benefit the Miss Lake County Scholarship Organization, and will feature performances by the reigning Miss California, Jackie Geist; the reigning Miss Lake County, Amanda Betat; and Lake County’s Outstanding Teen, Lauren Berlin, as well as fashions modeled by the county’s most beautiful women and former Miss Lake Counties.
There also will be performances by Brianna Tibbetts and Laney Price.
The Miss Lake County and Lake County’s Outstanding Teen Pageant will be held Aug. 8, and every young woman that competes receives an educational scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is determined by the fundraising efforts achieved during the year.
“We are trying to do something new for Lake County,” said Kathy and Tino Gamber, owners of All About Me. “We understand that many fundraising events are held each year, but hope that this type of new and unique event will attract individuals who want to contribute to the educational advancement of the county’s young women that are interested in competing for the titles of Miss Lake County and Lake County’s Outstanding Teen, and maybe go on to the title of Miss California.”
The Gambers added, “We are hoping that people will be as excited as we are about this event, and the more people that attend, the bigger a donation the scholarship will receive.”
Tickets for this unique event are $45, and available at the following Lakeport businesses: All About Me Boutique, the Lakeport Chamber of Commerce, Catfish Books, Lake County Arts Council's Main Street Gallery and Valentino’s Pizza.
They can also be obtained from Trinity Designs flower shop in Kelseyville, Moontide in Middletown, Wild About Books in Clearlake or from any Miss Lake County Scholarship Committee member.
Tickets will also be purchasable at the door for $50. Cocktail attire is requested.
