Indoor air quality and mold presentation. Thursday, Sept. 18, 3 pm to 5 pm Cost: $39 This presentation gives an overview of issues that have the potential to impact indoor air quality. The air within homes, schools and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities. The sources of indoor air pollution will be discussed including natural air contaminants, chemicals-of-concern, asbestos, pesticides, building materials, and biological pollutants. An overview of mold issues relating to businesses and schools will also be presented. The current state of the science regarding mold exposures in the indoor environment will be discussed. Target audience: Building owners, Realtors, health care professionals, school staff, property managers, building maintenance personnel and insurance professionals.
