Do you know of illegal dump sites in Nice? Come to the Nice Watershed Cleanup! The meeting will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 21. The group will meet on Pyle Road, across from the Sentry Market off of Highway 20. Bring gloves, shovels, garbage bags, pickup trucks and helping hands. The event is hosted by the Nice Watershed Group, Lake County Public Services Department, Robinson Rancheria, and the East Lake & West Lake Resource Conservation Districts.
The Nice Watershed Group is a Coordinated Resource Management and Planning (CRMP) group that seeks to help solve some of the problems in the Nice watershed such as illegal dumping, soil erosion and stream sedimentation that pollutes the lake. Anyone interested in attending is invited to the monthly meetings held on the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Robinson Rancheria Environmental Center, 1645 East State Highway 20, Nice.
