The Lake County Business Services Network and the Yuba College Small Business Development Center is sponsoring two workshops to teach Lake County business owners and nonprofit organizations how to create a basic Web site.
Two workshops will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. in Lakeport.
In addition to the workshops, one-on-one appointments with the instructor are available on Friday, Nov. 7, to give workshop attendees and others with basic Web site building skills, more tools and in-depth information.
The workshops will help business owners and non-profits create a Web site, research and register a domain name, and show step by step how to create a basic Web site. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a Web site, and know how to explore different options for Web site hosting.
On Friday, one-on-one appointments are available throughout the day to give workshop participants and others with basic web site building skills the tools necessary to maintain, update, and make changes to a Web site. Workshop participants are given preference for appointments; however, business owners who already have a basic Web site but would like more instruction are invited to take advantage of this opportunity.
The workshops are being led by Mike Saccomano, owner of Saccomano Associates, a web development/marketing company, owner of AwesomeTools.com and a consultant with the Yuba College Small Business Development Center.
Registration for one of Thursday’s workshops is $30. The one-on-one appointments to be held on Friday are free of charge on a first-come basis. The workshops and appointments will be held in Lakeport.
