Park docent Glenn Smith will lead a nature walk at 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 22.
Meet Smith at the visitor center ramp to begin a morning adventure into spring happenings in the park.
There is marvelous rebirth after winter rains. Trees are bursting with buds; grasses and other plants are emerging from winter dormancy. The western pond turtles are sunning themselves on the logs in old Kelsey Creek.
Smith has intimate knowledge of the plants of the park and will share this knowledge. This will be an easy walk.
The Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association sponsors nature and bird walks on the second and fourth Sunday each month. There is no park admission fee to join the walks. The park is located at 5300 Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville. Rain cancels walks.
