LAKEPORT – All are welcome to free Wednesday evening educational seminars taking place through June 16 at St. John’s Church, 1190 North Forbes St., Lakeport.
The seminars, which begin at 6 p.m., are in anticipation of the annual parish visit of The Right Rev. Barry L. Beisner, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California, Sunday, June 20.
The seminars consist of lively discussions led by Fr. Joseph with the assistance of fellow parishioners who have special competence on a particular topic.
Upcoming weekly seminars will cover the Episcopal Church, the global Anglican Communion, and relationship to historic and global Christianity; explore ancient creeds and catechism; the Book of Common Prayer and the baptismal covenant; and faith in the 21st Century.
