In cooperation with Second Sunday Cinema, natural bee-keeper Christine Schreier will share her knowledge and experience in keeping bees naturally. You're sure to enjoy this fascinating introduction to non-mechanistic bee-keeping as you visit Christine and her bees at Ancient Lake Gardens, at 8993 Soda Bay Rd. in Kelseyville. Not all bee-hives must be square boxes! Lucky bees can enjoy healthy, normal lives.
Christine's presentation will run from 2 to 4PM. Christine invites you to grab a bit of dinner after her demonstration -- and then head over to the Clearlake United Methodist Church for Second Sunday Cinema's free film, Queen of the Sun at 5:45. It won't surprise you that this gorgeous and informative documentary is all about bees. The film is beautifully made and is inspiring, rather than scary, even though it does explore the causes of Colony Collapse Disorder. Don't be surprised if you leave today's events wanting to plant poison-free flowers for our vitally important little friends! Christine WILL be on hand to speak and field questions after the film!
