LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – LakeCo MoveToAmend announces its next general meeting will be on the third Monday, May 21, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Art House Gallery, 15210 Lakeshore Drive in Clearlake.
On the agenda will be discussion of the Lake County petition drive and planning for upcoming events on Memorial Day and Fourth of July.
LakeCo MoveToAmend is a group of Lake County residents who are promoting the advancement of an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that establishes that corporations are not people and do not possess the inherent rights of living persons. The amendment also would establish that money does not equal "speech" and is not protected by First Amendment rights against infringement. Money and its influence on government and politics can and must be regulated.
