It's back to business with this serious documentary focused on a reported attempt by a high-ranking Republican Congressman to steal votes from Democratic voters in Florida. The man approached to do the dirty job was a Republican computer programmer who literally could not believe what he was asked to do. While this attempt to subvert the democratic process in the US is well-known, the first-hand details involving Diebold electronic voting machines and further awful behavior are not so widely available. This documentary has high production values and an intelligent, appealing interviewer, Brad Friedman of TheBradBlog.
Becky Curry, Chair of the Lake County Democratic Party will speak briefly following the film about her research into on-going and successful efforts by conservative groups across the country to disenfranchise voters who are poor, of color, elderly or students.
