HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – Crafts and project proposals will be on the program for the Monday, July 9, meeting of the Hidden Valley Lake Garden Club, held in the activities room of the HVLA administration office, 18174 Hidden Valley Road. Social gathering with refreshments begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by meeting and program at 10 a.m.
During the meeting attendees will have the opportunity to create a lavender wand, a decorative as well as aromatic piece, or a suncatcher, a decorative glass sculpture for their garden. Lavender and ribbon will be provided for the wands but attendees will need to bring their own scissors.
For those wishing to make a suncatcher, there is a fee of $4 to cover the cost of rebar and copper tubing. They also need to contact HVL Garden Club Vice President Inge Rankin in advance at 707-987-6010, ingerankin@mchsi.com and provide their own glass items: 6- to 7-inch glass dish; 5- to 6-inch glass bowl; wine goblet and a narrow vase. At the meeting members will also present, for consideration, proposals for projects for 2012.
