KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – A “Peace Meal & Hootenanny” will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Lakeside Park (also known as the County Park) near Kelseyville as part of the Lake County Summer of Peace.

Everyone is invited to this free event, which includes a potluck picnic and an old-fashioned musical sing-along.

The hootenanny will feature a number of prominent Lake County musicians, including Jim Williams, Carl Stewart, Don Coffin, Sue Condit, Bill Bordisso, Bill Barrows, the trio Three Deep, Dennis Purcell, the duo Not Two and others.

The peace meal (potluck picnic) will begin at 5 p.m., with the hootenanny following and going until about 9 p.m. As well as food or drink to share, people are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Children are more than welcome. Please be aware that glass containers are not allowed in the park.

This special event is sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County.
