LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Democratic Central Committee will meet on Thursday, Aug. 2. The monthly meeting will take place beginning at 7 p.m. in Lakeport at the Lake County Tax Service Office, 1210 S. Main St.
Supervisor Anthony Farrington will speak to the group about the about the fall tax measure on the county ballot. The agenda will contain reports from the elections, finance, issues and elections committees. Voter registration and updates on the Aug. 5 Harvest Festival and the Sept. 22 annual Legislator's Barbecue.
Also on the agenda will be reports from representatives for Congressman Mike Thompson, Assemblyman Wes Chesbro and Sen. Noreen Evans, as well as reports from Stonewall Democratic Club Chair Mark Wickhamshire and representative from the Lake County Democratic Club, Paula Mune. Additionally, there will be updates on the Campaigns of Congress Member John Garamendi, and Assembly Member Mariko Yamada.
Meetings are open to the public and committee membership is open to all registered Democrats. The Lake County Democratic Central Committee is the official governing body of the Democratic Party in Lake County.
