Someone pulls a firearm and points it at you, they should not live one moment longer ! They have forfeited their freedom (if not their life) by this act, as they have demonstrated their contempt for the freedom, rights and lives of others. "the unknown male pulled out a handgun and began waving it around" Now THIS is what "brandishing" is, not the liberal definition of a concealed weapon in a shoulder holster that just happens to be noticed on a hot Summer day when the breeze blows, or when you reach up for a bottle of mustard off the top shelf in the local market. Or even a holstered weapon openly carried on your hip. And 'pistol whipping' a woman (or ANYone) ? That is just rude and crude behavior. (not to mention the criminal and immoral aspect of it) Uncalled for, and deserving of extreme prejudice. When moral, sane citizens have their firearms taken away, it just opens the door for thugs and punks to act like this. The minute this arse pulled out a pistol (you have to presume it is loaded) and started "waving it around", there should have been at least two or three uninvolved bystanders covered and sighted on this idiot, ordering him (or her) to slowly place the weapon on the ground, then put him on the ground, place him under citizens arrest and cuff him... You know we DO have the 'right' and authority to do that as citizens... Get TRAINED !!! Know your rights, and know the correct procedure ! Learn your responsibilities, and the safest way to disarm. A LOT can happen in 12 minutes... If this kind of juvenile stupidity was met with this kind of response on each occasion, there would be a lot less of it happening. Personally, I believe anyone that has received the proper training, and understands the liability, should be able to 'open carry'. We were a much more respectful society when that was the case. In the past few minutes I have read about 3 or 4 firearm related attacks (or shootings) over the last week or two in the Middletown/Cobb area. This is getting ridiculous ! JMHO PS: Politico...
