March 25 Unitarian service features music with a message

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The service at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County on Sunday, March 25, will be led by Reverend Denis Eucalyptus and will feature songs performed by Ear Reverence.

“Music with a Message” is the topic for the service.

The service begins at 11 a.m. at the Church in Kelseyville, located at 3810 Main St. Guests are welcome.

A unique presentation by Ear Reverence, paired with the reflections of retired United Methodist minister Reverend Eucalyptus, will explore the relevance of songs to a person’s spiritual life.

Ear Reverence is a local a Capella group, comprised of Nick Reid, Valerie Reid, Carol Cole-Lewis and Bill Bordisso.

Songs they will perform include “Atheists Don't Have No Songs,” “Find the Cost of Freedom,” “In My Room,” “Up on the Roof” and “Can't Buy Me Love.”

Unitarian Universalism affirms that inspiration and meaning may be found in many sources, including the natural world, personal experience, history, and religious tradition.

This service will include music as a source of inspiration and meaning as well.
