CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. – Firefighters are closing in on fully containing a wildland fire that began on Thursday near Clearlake Oaks.
The Harvey Fire was reported just after 3 p.m. Thursday off Harvey Boulevard, as Lake County News has reported.
Fire Capt. Joe Fletcher of Cal Fire told Lake County News on Friday afternoon that the fire burned a total of seven acres.
The official containment number shortly before 5 p.m. Friday was 95 percent, according to Fletcher.
Fletcher said two Cal Fire engines and two inmate crews remained on scene Friday afternoon, continuing to conduct mop up.
