LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Planning Commission will hold its last meeting of the year this week, during which it will consider several new projects.
The commission will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the council chambers at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.

On the agenda is an application from McDonald’s USA for architectural design and review that allows an additional drive-thru lane, signage, exterior and interior remodel of the existing McDonald’s restaurant building at 1077 Lakeport Blvd.
Big Daddy Garden Supply also has applied for a use permit for outdoor sales, a zoning permit for commercial fence and a sign permit along the northwestern corner of South Main Street and Lakeport Boulevard. The business will be located at 1015 S. Main St., the former location of the Napa Auto Parts - Lake Parts store, which has moved to 2440 S Main St.
The other main item of business is for the commission to review a general plan conformity report and categorical exemption for the proposed locations of the three solar canopies above existing parking areas at city-owned property located at City Hall at 75 Third St., the corporation yard at 591 Martin St. and the Lakeport Police Department at 2025 S. Main St.
The commission’s regular meeting of Wednesday, Dec. 12, has been adjourned.
After this week’s special meeting, the commission will next meet on Jan. 9.
