LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Supporting the local food service and restaurant industry is the goal of an upcoming series of events presented by the Lake County Economic Development Corporation and the Lake County Chamber of Commerce.

The Restaurant Expo is a free two-day networking and training event focused on providing expert support to new and existing owners of restaurants, food trucks and other food service businesses.

The Expo will be held on Jan. 30 at Woodland Community College and Jan. 31 at Mendocino Community College. Both days will start at 10 a.m.

Sessions will be presented in person, and via zoom. Sessions will include many aspects of running a food business including, food sourcing, menu pricing, payroll and human resources, and much more.

On the evening of Jan. 30 at 5:30 p.m. Lake EDC will host a networking event at The Ripe Choice for participants to mingle and network with real estate professionals, lenders and other industry collaborators.

The inaugural Lake County Restaurant Week will span the week of Feb. 5 to 11.

Coordinated by the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, residents will be encouraged to try a new restaurant around the lake — restaurants from every corner of the county will participate with prix-fixe menu, small plates, or feature Lake County produce or product at a discounted price.

Tickets are not necessary for this delectable week of discounted dining, but reservations are recommended.
