CLEARLAKE, Calif. – On Saturday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Clearlake's Austin Park, come and join the family fun of the fourth annual Power to the Youth.

This event is hosted by Lake Community Pride Foundation, a local nonprofit group that maintains and runs a teen shelter and helps to support the youth performing arts.

This year's event will feature a free basketball tournament and free skate park competition with prizes for the winners.

Glory Days Flag Football League will have a water balloon flag football event to keep you cool during the hot August sunshine.

This year three bouncy houses have been donated for the festival and all children can play in them for free all through the event.

Come and enjoy the sounds of local young artists such as As All Else Fails, Fetti Rich, Cosmic Tea, The Lyricist with Austin Layne, and Phaneron.

If you're not listening to the live music or taking part in our sporting activities make sure to look around at the collection of booths that support the community such as Yuba College, St Helena Hospital, Planned Parenthood, Skycatch Gymnastics (who will also be making a performance), The Harbor On Main, the Youth Center, farmer's market booths and much more.

Vendors offering food and children's clothing for back to school also will be available in the park.

Come down, have some fun and bring unity to the community as they aim to empower local youth for a brighter and better future for Clearlake and Lake County.

All events and participation are free so bring the whole family.
