Tire amnesty offered Oct. 24

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Big Valley Rancheria will hold a tire amnesty day on Friday, Oct. 24.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in front of Konocti Vista Casino, 2755 Mission Rancheria Road near Lakeport.

There will be free drop-off of passenger and pickup truck tires with or without rims from anywhere in Lake County or prior approval from tribal lands. No spare/donut tires or split rims, and no ag tires or tractor trailer tires will be taken. Bicycle or motorcycle tires are OK.

Tires with rims must be smaller than 25 inches.

Only 9 tires per transport will be accepted unless you have an exemption from of Lake County Environmental Health which will allow you to bring up to 20 tires per trip.

Participants who bring two or more tires will receive a $10 match play for Konocti Vista Casino.

The event is funded by the Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians and CalRecycle.
