LAKEPORT, Calif. – As the holidays approach people are looking for gift ideas.

Lakeport Library will present a button jewelry workshop where guests can make easy, quick and unique gifts out of common materials.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m., Amy Patton will teach attendees how to make a bracelet and a brooch from buttons, and how to convert a brooch to a necklace.

The library will provide buttons and all other supplies for the free workshop. Patton also invites people to bring their own buttons to work on.

“If you have some cool buttons, bring them. We’ll make something beautiful out of them,” she said.

Light refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Lake County Library.

Lakeport Library, located at 1425 N. High St., is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday, noon to 8 p.m. The phone number is 707-263-8817.
