Caltrans seeks public comment on draft guidelines for State of Good Repair Program

SACRAMENTO – Caltrans is seeking input on the draft guidelines for the State of Good Repair, or SGR, Program that will provide $105 million annually to the State Transit Assistance allocation, and will fund eligible transit maintenance, rehabilitation and capital projects.

Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 provides additional revenues for transit infrastructure repair and service improvements.

SGR guidelines will describe the general policies and procedures in carrying out the reporting requirements and other statutory objectives of SB 1.

Caltrans will host two public workshops with the California State Transportation Agency to discuss the draft guidelines for the SGR Program, the Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program and State Rail Assistance Program.
