Decision signed for campground hazard tree salvage

MENDOCINO NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. – Acting Grindstone District Ranger Tony Saba has signed a decision memo to implement the Sugarfoot Glade Campground Hazard Tree Salvage Project in Tehama County.

This consists of removal and salvage of up to 72 cut hazard trees within an approximate 3.2-acre area, centered on the Sugarfoot Glade Campground, approximately 32 miles northwest of Orland.

The proposed action is categorically excluded from further analysis and documentation in the form of an environmental assessment or environmental impact statement pursuant to 36 CFR §220.6(e)(13).

Work may begin as early as November 2017.
