LAKEPORT – Parents will have the opportunity to learn about child car seat safety and test the safety of their own car seats at an event Saturday.

The car seat safety check will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kathy Fowler Chevrolet-Pontiac, 1175 Parallel Drive, Lakeport.

Event sponsors include the California Highway Patrol, Lake County Office of Education, Cal Fire, South Lake County Fire Protection District and Sutter Lakeside Hospital.
